My name is Khan. And I'm a movie star...
Shah Rukh Khan was detained in Newark Airport in the US, because his surname is on the alert list of US officals since te 9/11 attacks. He was at the Indian Independence Day event, the guest of honor ofcourse. It wasn't until MP Rajiv Shukla from the Indian Congress intervened, that he was released.
Oh, the irony. SRK is starring in a movie called "My name is Khan", which coincidentally (or is it?) is about gettin' detained cause his name is Khan.
They asked him a gazillon questions about his visit and his handbaggage as checked. He couldn't evue the phone for an hour. Omg, I would die if I didn't have my phone!
In a statement given to a news daily, SRK said, “I told them I was a movie star and had recently visited the country for the shooting of my film. Nothing seemed to convince the immigration officer. There were other immigration officers who even vouched for me but this particular officer did not listen to anyone. I even told them I had an invitation from the South Asian community and was there to attend an event.”
Check out this video, wherehe comments on the incident. He talk about himself in third peson, it's hilarious. The fame has gotten to his head, don't ya think?

That didn't take long.
Karan has appaerntly approached Bollywoods latest heartthrob Imran Khan to play a terrorist in his forthcoming film 'My name is Khan'. According to the hearsay, initially Ranbir was approached for the role, who for some reasons refused to be a part of it, which Imran will play now.
Karan seemed to like Imran's preformance in 'Jaane tu... Ya jaane na' and has offered him a role. But it is heard that Imran is rather cautious than excited to star alongside king of Bollywood and has been seeking advice from mamu (uncle) Aamir for that matter.

Kajol and Shah Rukh

Kajol accepted a role in Karan Joha's next film, 'My Name is Khan'. As we mentioned before, Ranbir Kapoor will also star in it.
Yay, it'll be fun to see them together. I've always liked their chemistry and comedy.
Part of the film is to be shot in California, something that Kajol was concerned about, since it would disrupt her family life. She had earlier turned down Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), because it was shot extensively in the US and her daughter Nyasa was very young.

Ranbir Kapoor in My Name is Khan
Ranbir Kapoor will co-star with Shah Rukh Khan in Karan Johar's next movie - My Name is Khan. Kajol is expected to play the female lead but has not formally accepted the assignment, as scripting is yet not complete.
Karan, who tends to play safe by packing his film with a strong star cast, is also trying to get Akshay Kumar. He is easily the most sought after Bollywood star right now, since most of his recent films has been box-office hits.
The movie will be about a Muslim (Shah Rukh Khan), who gets wrongly detained on a flight, because his last name is Khan and therefore the authorities believe that he is a terrorist. Duh!
It's actually based on a real life experience, at least the first half of the movie. The other half, I have no idea what mumbo-jumbo Karan will make up.
Note: That's the gayest picture I could find.
